Our second child has AS, which was finally diagnosed at 8. Far too late for early intervention, and in fact too late for any government assistance in our small town. So we regularly traipse to Perth to see our speechie or to see the psych, or any other treatment. My older son is fourteen and recently diagnosed inattentive-only adhd in addition to a variety of other diagnoses, mostly related to anxiety. My younger son is nearly ten and was diagnosed asd about five years ago. Quality of life really improved after diagnosis for my younger one but we still have the ups and downs ...
