Farm Day is when a farm family hosts a city family for a day (or they may want you to stay for a whole weekend if they have the space) of real hands-on experiences and a greater understanding of the day-to-day life of the farming family.
We went last year to an organic farm with milking goats in the Swan Valley. Farmer John was terrific with our boys and made us feel very welcome. It was really interesting learning about the goats, the milk and also the other produce they grow on the organic farm. John says he has lots of visitors who have special needs throughout the year.
