Wow, she sounds like a real gem. I wouldn't know how to make a gluten free cake, so good on her for finding out. I hope it was yummy.
Our old Teacher assistant, who now runs a bakery in another town, dropped by to visit last year and brought some candles in roman numerals for DS, he loves roman numerals, so that was so sweet. Our current one is also very kind and thoughtful, and has been known to drop things round after school that he forgot (of course we live in a small town, so she knows where we live), or to ring me up and then come around and collect soemthing he forgot as I have a baby at home and often can't get out when needed. DS had to do a family tree, so she asked her sister for all the information she had on the family (she is our second cousin) so DS now has a very full tree, as the other side of the family has a book out, and my family has a very good tree too.
