Until 31 January 2009 Centrelink cardholders who purchase a WorkVentures Standard Pack for $250 (plus delivery $20 to $40) will get:
1. a free upgrade to 512 MB RAM, plus
2. a free upgrade to a 15 inch flat screen monitor.

In a joint initiative Centrelink and WorkVentures, a not-for-profit organisation, are giving Centrelink customers the opportunity to access low cost personal computers (PCs).

Centrelink customers can now purchase their own professionally refurbished, internet ready, Pentium 4 PC pack for just $250 plus delivery ($40 maximum). The pack includes:

Premium brand complete system with minimum specification P4 1.8 GHz processor, 40 GB Hard Drive and 512 MB RAM
Windows XP Pro operating system
Office 2003 software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
3 month hardware warranty
helpful user guide and free phone technical support
higher specification PCs, PC upgrades, and purchase plan (e.g. lay-by) also available
The low cost PC offer is available nationally to all Centrelink concession card holders.

Having access to a PC with internet access makes it easier for current Centrelink customers to do their business online with Centrelink eServices; as well as enjoying the many benefits of modern technology.

People interested in purchasing a low cost PC can call WorkVentures on 1800 112 205 or refer to the WorkVentures website.
